Similarly, Eriksen s three goal involvements (one scored, two assisted) is underwhelming compared to Serie A s most influential midfielders – Henrikh Mkhitaryan leads with 17 (nine goals, eight assists).
On top of that, Eriksen s passing – an area considered a strong point of his – has been lacklustre. He has an 83 per cent success rate with regards to distribution, which is unspectacular compared to others in similar roles.
Conte made it clear on Saturday that he feels Eriksen has had enough opportunities to make an impact and now the writing appears to be on the wall.
Speaking ahead of Sunday s 4-2 dramatic win over Torino, in which Eriksen was an unused substitute, Marotta told DAZN: Conte has already answered exhaustively.
I add that, clearly, we must not hold back a player when he asks to be transferred. We will have to make the right assessments.
Right now he is available to Conte, who is using him in respect of the players and the club. For now, no requests have arrived from Eriksen, but at the right moment we will try to find the right agreements.
