Cardinals vs Broncos Prediction, Picks & Odds for This Week’s NFL Preseason Game

Sunday’s matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and Denver Broncos gives us a final chance to see these teams before the regular season, although both will be without their starting quarterbacks and key starters.

That has our Cardinals vs. Broncos predictions anticipating a low-scoring affair in our latest NFL picks for August 25.

My best betUnder 33.5 (-105 at FanDuel)

My analysis

It’s been a pleasing summer for the Denver Broncos, who have seen rookie Bo Nix cement himself as the team’s starter. This year’s 12th overall pick has played lights-out during the preseason at camp and locked down that starting spot. However, that means that he will sit out Saturday’s preseason finale versus the Arizona Cardinals.

Without Nix, the team has managed just one passing touchdown from Zach Wilson, while Jarrett Stidham has tossed two interceptions and has yet to throw for any scores.

The Cardinals will also continue to sit Kyler Murray, who has yet to play a single snap this preseason. That means their snaps will be split between Clayton Tune and Desmond Ridder, with Tune expected to start. Those two have failed to get this offense going through two games, sporting just one TD pass altogether.

The Cardinals have failed to reach 15+ points in their first two exhibition matches, and if they maintain those numbers, the Broncos would need to put up 20 points to hit the Over in this matchup. I’m taking the Under, which has already dropped three points from its opening line of 36.5.
